World Wild Life has awarded this past November 6th to the Government of Denmark with their Gift to the Earth Award, a Prize that recognizes environmental accomplishments to any kind of political association, companies and/or individuals. In this particular case, the mention has been given to in consideration of all the Danish development politics that are in harmony with ecological issues. WWF focused on the economical growth that doesn’t strike with energy care.
Besides all this, awareness campaigns in Denmark are quite usual and strong, and this is reflected as well in the type of business we can see in this country. One of them is ROCKWOOL, company that’s dedicated to the edification, technical insulation and panels, among other areas, that base their politics as an environmental philosophy which prays as a way of “contribute with sustainable development in every single activity we do”.
Since 1996 WWF has recognized the work of many awarded entities. They understand that the importance of these symbolic acts resides on the “demonstration of a leadership and global significance as a contribution to protect the living world”.
