Last two weeks to visit the Biennale Architettura 2012, the event has reached 100.000 "Likes" on Facebook and 100.000 Followers on Twitter.
This year the Architecture has been once again agreat success of public and has been defined – among others – by the British newspaper The Guardian "the largest party and showcase of architecture in the world"
It is an opportunity to remenber the figures of the Architecture Biennale 2012:
- 69 projects made by architects, photographers, artists, critics and scholars. Many have responded to the invitation of the Director with original proposals and installations expressly created for this Biennale, involving other colleagues with whom they share a Common Ground in their projects. There is a total of 119 participants.
- 55 National Participations exhibited, as usual, in the Pavilions at the Giardini, at the Arsenale and in the city of Venice.
- Four nations participating for the first time: Angola, the Republic of Kosovo, Kuwait and Peru.
- Argentina exhibiting for the first time in its own pavilion in the newly renovated space of the Sale d’Armi at the Arsenale.
- 18 Collateral Events presented by national and international organizations holding their exhibitions and initiatives in various locations around the city.
- 71 Universities that have joined the project Biennale Sessions, of which 28 Italian and 43 foreign.
On Saturday November 24th visitors may participate in the "Great closing meeting" to be held in the afternoon and featuring panel discussions to review the aims of the exhibition and the reactions to Common Ground.
