Design Village 2012

The company Nemo Cassina lighting division has been present on the European market, in the Americas and in the Near and Far East through a carefully selected network of distributors and retailers.The presence of NEMO at this year's Design Village represents a key move for the repositioning and strengthening of the brand's identity. A development that demonstrates Nemo's ability to offer contemporary solutions distinguished by an immediately recognizable and original language.

The versatility of NEMO’s comprehensive catalogue is well represented by the space exclusively dedicated to the brand at the Design Village, and it is reaffirmed in the Cassina area with the newest lamps accompanying the furnishings designed by Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand. Between other offers the company shows products such as "In the wind" designed by Arihiro Miyake, it´s a lamp,whose very name conveys the essence of versatile expressiveness, an evocative object rich in aesthetic and technological content. "Carmencita" designed by Hikaru Mori, winner of the WALLPAPER Best Domestic Design Award for Best Lamp 2012. Carmencita combines craftsmanship and quality. The lamp's twin diffusers are upholstered with Others products presented for example are "Potence Pivotante" designed by Charlotte Perriand (year 1938), "Applique de Marselille", designed by Le Corbusier (year 1954), "Tru", designed by Roberto Paoli and "Nuvola", designed by Mario Bellini,  pioneered the modern trend in illuminating objects made of plastic. With great insight and creativity he designed NUVOLA, a floating mass of light that is capable of shedding light effectively yet unobtrusively. Designed in 1974 for the launch campaign of Pianeta Ufficio – the office furniture system by Mario Bellini for Marcatrè – the lamp has been revisited in terms of size and is now produced on an industrial scale by Nemo.This last product we it can see in the photography of the news.
